Gerard Visit

The weather was great

Mostly we just sat around and enjoyed the weather.

We did go for a boat ride

It started out great with some beautiful scenery

We went to the Crammond Islands

It was rough on the way back and we both got pretty wet.

We had lunch at Cabot Links in Inverness

Betty and Jim at Cabot Links

Another beautiful day.

We had lunch at the Halifax waterfront when we dropped Gerard at the airport.  It was a little foggy.

This boat  (named "Mar") is almost a namesake

We visited with Theodore

Closing Up

We moved the stairs off the beach.  Can you see the crane (bird) in the water in the background?

Late September, the weather is still very nice.

Building a frame to cover the boat

The Floating Dock - Phase 1

First, you need a little concrete - 18 bags to be exact

You need a stabilizer beam to connect the dock to the beach

Using a big plastic bag you can pour the concrete under water and anchor the beam to the concrete base

Once the beach is tidy it looks like it belongs - now for some floats

Feathered Friends

The local cranes visit mostly in the mornings and evenings

Humming birds at the feeder - you have to look closely
